Artistic expression is flourishing in northern Wisconsin! Open for viewing October 3 at the Washburn Cultural Center, come see the Chequamegon Bay Art Council’s annual members show, The Gathering.

The Gathering’s Opening Reception is Thursday, October 12, from 5-7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. The show will run about a month, please check Washburn Cultural Center for hours.
People’s Choice Awards
Visitors during October will be invited to vote for their favorite work, and a “People’s Choice” gift certificate award will be given.
New this year! Purchase Prizes
The Washburn Cultural Center and Ghost Ship Gallery in Washburn are co-sponsoring the purchase of selected works which will be placed in their permanent collections.
In addition, on October 19, from 6-8 p.m., artists may participate in a discussion session focusing on the exhibit. Everyone who’s interested may attend this free event; you do not need to have art exhibited in the show in order to attend. The object is not to critique, but to exchange and share ideas with peers and learn about their creative process. Steve Cotherman, WCC Manager and art curator, will facilitate the discussion. Light refreshments will be served.
