Join us for "The Wonder of Woods and Water" Aldo Leopold bench auction at 4:00 on July 28, in downtown Washburn at the Chamber of Commerce parking lot, with auctioneer Jan Lee. Ten benches were painted by volunteer area artists Amanda Millonzi, Crystal Gibbins, Jason Terry, Brad Lemire, Kristen Christensen, Chris Lindsey, Kate Greenough and Aaron Folsum and his summer 4-H students. Opening bids are $100 per bench and proceeds benefit the Washburn Legacy Consortium organizations - Washburn Cultural Center, Washburn Area Historical Society, Washburn Heritage Association, Washburn Beautification Foundation, Historic Civic Center Foundation and Chequamegon Bay Arts Council.
Superior Artists Group "Seasons of Growth" Now On Exhibit
Seasons of Growth, the summer show by the Superior Artists Group will be on display through July 29. Multi-media, photo-collage, sculpture, painting, ceramics and prints by regional artists Sara Balbin, Royanne Goossen, Amy Kalmon, Dora Kling, Wendy Deerly Reese, Kerry Shadbolt, Jason Terry an Jonathan Walburg. Meet the artists on Saturday, July 28 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.
Inspired by Nature - Art Through the Eyes of Master Gardeners Now on Exhibit
On display through June 30, "Inspired by Nature: features painting, sculpture, fiber, clay, wood carving and other works made by Ashland and Bayfield County master gardeners. Each artist wrote gardening/plant information about the subject of their work that accompanies the pieces. This exciting exhibit is a unique visual and educational experience.
