Position Title: Washburn Cultural Center Manager

Location: Washburn Cultural Center, 1 East Bayfield Street, Washburn, Wis.

Hours: This is a full time, salaried position (approximately 1,950 hrs/annually).

Position Description:

The Washburn Cultural Center Manager will report to Board of Directors.

The qualified candidate will oversee and supervise all aspects of the Center’s operations, including but not limited to:

  • Hiring and training staff and delegating tasks as appropriate to staff’s strengths.

  • Bookkeeping, including bill payment, invoicing, budgets, reports to Board of Directors, payroll, reports for CPA.

  • Building oversight, including monitoring all systems such as HVAC, elevator, lighting.

  • Programming to include exhibitions, workshops, community outreach, rentals and marketing, keeping calendar of events and invoicing appropriately.

  • Work with Board of Directors on fundraising through mail, fundraising events, website and newsletter.

It is desirable that the successful candidate have a background in nonprofit management. Some working knowledge of art is also helpful. 

Salary range begins at $39,000 annually. Salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications.

Open Call for Models for the Monday Night Life Drawing Group

The Monday Night Life Drawing Group is currently looking for models for non-instructional life drawing sessions. Individuals with all body types are encouraged and invited to participate. All models will be paid for their time and talent and must be available on Mondays from 6:30pm–9pm at the Washburn Cultural Center. The group values models’ input and allows models’ interests and input to influence the session theme each week. Click below for more details and contact information.
